Foss honing oil applied to a porous sharpening stone gives the runner of the skate a smooth and sharp edge.
In fact, oil should be applied to all sharpening stones before each use; otherwise dirt and dust can strain the pores. Using oil will increase the lifespan of the stone.
The content of a bottle is 100 ml.
